About Sammy's Window
Our Challenge
One of the most common struggles for foster parents is a lack of support as they care for youth who have experienced abuse or neglect. Missouri provides the second lowest stipend for foster parents in the entire US, while Kansas offers the seventh lowest. Without adequate resources, individuals and families sadly find themselves unable to take in children in need of a safe, loving home.
Our Solution
Sammy’s Window & Children’s Resale Market supports local foster, kinship, and adoptive families by providing essential items to them via donations made to our organization.
Additional proceeds of the resale market go into our job training program for young adults who have aged out of foster care with the purpose of helping them gain valuable experience and confidence that will serve as a foundation for their future careers.
